Navigating AdRoll

We’re delighted to have you on board. Please take a moment to explore the platform by reading through each section below for a comprehensive introduction to your AdRoll account. You may also find this Getting Started with AdRoll insightful.  

Note that, depending on the subscription package, you may see fewer options in the navigation sidebar. To check your current subscription,  log in to AdRoll and go to  Settings > Billing and Subscriptions > Plans & Usage.

 

Navigation Bar

The navigation bar on the left side of your screen provides access to all your marketing tools, including Home, Campaigns, Audiences,  Creatives, Analytics,  AI Assistant, Help & Support,  Integrations, Notifications and  Settings. Click on the   icon to expand/collapse this menu.

Labels Description
Alpha The early testing phase where a product is initially developed with basic features. It is usually tested internally or with a small group of select advertisers to identify major bugs and gather initial feedback.
Beta The later testing phase where the product is more polished but still requires user feedback to find remaining issues. Beta versions are made available to a larger audience for more extensive testing and refinement before the full launch.

Navigation Help Center Sections
  •  AI Assistant: An intelligent AI assistant designed to help with your marketing tasks. It answers questions and provides personalized suggestions to improve key metrics like brand awareness and clicks.
  •  Help & Support:  
    •  Help Centre - Direct link to Help Center to access a comprehensive library of articles, guides and FAQ's.
    •  Contact Support - To open a direct line of communication with our support team for personalized assistance.
  •  Integrations: Find all available 3rd party integrations
  • Notifications: Alerts and notifications, such as policy updates or status changes regarding your ads, campaigns.
  • Settings: Your Account Settings including Billing, Subscription, Account Info, Company Info, Data Collection Opt-Ins, and Exclusions

Here's a quick overview of the options under the Gear Icon:

Feature Description
Plan and Usage Manage and review your plan options along with add-ons (if opted) and payment method information. 
Payment Methods Manage your payment options here.
Billing History Check your account balance and view all of your invoices.
Billing Accounts (Admin only) Administrators  can view and manage all subscription plans, payment methods, and financial details associated with your services under a billing account. 
Personal Information Enter your name and email, and select your preferred language.
Password and Security Set your password and access your 2-step verification.
Email Preferences Set which AdRoll emails you want to receive.
Company Information Enter your company details here.
Advertiser Profiles Add or remove profiles here.
User Permissions(Admin only) Administrators will modify these settings to manage your account and configure AdRoll for your entire team.
Opt-ins View and manage your opt-ins.
Visitor Consent Choose your GDPR consent options.
By App Enter the IDs associated with apps where you do not want to serve ads.
By Domain Add list of domains you don't want to be associated with.
By IP Address Prevent all ads in your account from displaying on an unwanted computer or network by excluding them to certain Internet Protocol (IP) addresses.
Personal Access Tokens Personal Access Tokens (PAT) are a way to make API calls in simple API integrations where OAuth is not practical. If you're building an application where you need to ask your users for their Personal Access Token, you should instead use OAuth. See our beginners' guide for details on how to use them.

 

Home Page

Navigation Help Center Sections

 When you log into AdRoll, you'll see the Home tab that provides a high-level overview of your marketing performance for a specific date range, compared to the previous period.

  •  Campaign Creation: A "Create" button gives you direct access to build new campaigns using guided "Recipes," a web "Ad Campaign" setup, or an AI-powered "Campaign Creation Assistant."
  • AI-Powered Insights: An intelligent assistant offers actionable suggestions (e.g., "Refresh Old Ads") and allows you to ask questions to optimize your campaigns.
  • Website Metrics: This section displays key user engagement data and trends from your website, gathered by our onsite pixel.
  • Ad Campaign: Displays a summary of your advertising efforts with key metrics like Spend, Click, Impressions, Click-Through Rate (CTR), etc. 

 

Audiences

Navigation Help Center Sections
  •  Website Audiences : Create new audiences (URLs, A fixed page, An event, The number of pages viewed, The number of impressions served and CRM lists) to target based on how visitors interact with your site.
  • Connected Audiences: Automatically import your contact email lists from multiple CRM platforms to target them in advertising campaigns. Individual contacts or email lists cannot be edited within AdRoll, changes must be applied in your CRM and will be synced automatically to AdRoll daily.

 

Campaigns

  •  Campaigns: Centralized dashboard for creating, managing, and analyzing all your cross-channel advertising efforts, from individual web , CTV and email ads to automated marketing recipes.

 

Creatives

Navigation Help Center Sections
  •  Ad Library: Any ads you upload, create, or request will be stored in your Ad Library. You can search for your ads by name, size, inventory, URL, or use filter options.
  • Product Feed: The Product Feed Overview page allows you to view your existing product feed details and specific product information, to ensure if they are in a good state to run dynamic ads through AdRoll.

 

Analytics

  •  Insights: Analytics dashboard showing the AdRoll Pixel for tracking and related website tracking issues, with pixel crawling errors leading to incomplete data, zero conversions, and poor visitor engagement metrics, along with new user data such as technology used, demographics, and bounce rate.
  • Cross-Channel: With this tool, you can analyze the performance from your ads, email, SMS, e-commerce store, CRM, and/or third-party analytics, in one centralized dashboard.
  • AdRoll Attribution: This tab helps you learn more about how your converters behave and interact with your brand. There are two key sections of your attribution dashboard: Tracked Conversions and AdRoll
  • Campaign Reports: A variety of default reports under the Campaign Reports tab ranging from ad placement to conversion details and segment suggestions as well.

 

Profile Menu

Navigation Description
If you have multiple profiles, you can switch between them here or view them all at the same time. You can also log out of your account from here by clicking on the upwards arrow button.

 

AI Assistant
